and incumbency of the Rev Hastings Robinson DD. A National school has been built
by the rector. The population, in 1851, was 951, having been lately doubled,
since the enclosure of Warley Common, a few years since, a new church, called
Christ Church, with the parsonage and school, have been erected, for which a
district is about to be formed out of those portions of North Warley, Shenfield
and South Weald, lying in its immediate neighbourhood, but upwards of two miles
from their respective parish churches. The endowment has been given by Miss
Clay. The County lunatic asylum, capable of holding 450 patients, is in the
adjoining parish of South Weald, about half a mile from the new church.

I get hundreds of emails every day, fortunately most 'spam mails' are deleted by my mail scan settings. The final emails are delivered to various email addresses, and replying to these are not always successful. If you do not hear from me in a timely fashion, please feel free to email again, I do not mind! This is a pure PUBS history site, I doubt if I know where the PUBS are NOW, but try the site for where they were a hundred years ago, again enjoy!
